Introduction
What Syfon is and how it works.
Welcome to Syfon! This guide walks you through everything you need to know to set up and use SMS forwarding for your team.
What is Syfon?
Syfon gives your team a shared phone number that forwards incoming text messages to the places your team already works. When a text message arrives at your Syfon number, it gets sent to every destination you set up: other phone numbers, email inboxes, Slack channels, Google Chat, Discord, Telegram, or custom webhooks.
Common use case: Your team shares a service that sends login codes by text. Instead of one person receiving the code and forwarding it manually, Syfon sends it to everyone at the same time.
How it works
- You create a flow. A flow is a forwarding rule tied to one phone number.
- Syfon assigns a phone number to your flow (this takes about one business day).
- You add destinations to your flow. These are the places where messages get forwarded.
- When a text arrives at your Syfon number, it gets delivered to all your active destinations instantly.
